So it's the time of the year again, when I crawl out of the crammy practice room and actually play something for the world to hear. A full recital this time, with an outcome I am pretty proud of. Not only that my performance went surprisingly better than I expected, but also that my friends were there to cheer me on (well, they didn't cheer, but, clap me on?). I'm discovering the extraordinary gratification to play for friends, and learning that the joys of music is best experienced with those close to heart. So here's the music, for my Friends, from my heart.
Program:
Shostakovich, Prelude and Fugue in C major, Op. 87
J.S. Bach, Prelude and Fugue in C major, BWV 846
Shostakovich, Prelude and Fugue in E-flat minor, Op. 87

Schubert's D.960
You probably have already figured how often I post on my blog. As part of the AMP Piano recital this semester, I played the first movement from the Piano Sonata in B-flat major, D960, by Franz Schubert. I'm happy to share this wonderful piece with everyone, though I can't say I did it as perfect as I would have liked to. Enjoy!
Many thanks to all who came to support my performance, and special thanks to Kangyi, who helped me record my piece. I promise, there will be more to come....

Saint-Saens Piano Concerto
What better reason to start a blog. Here's a recording of my Sunday performance of Saint-Saens Piano Concerto that I'd like to share with everyone. Enjoy!
